Charges laid after last week’s shooting in Nipawin

An investigation into a recent shooting in Nipawin has led to the arrest of one man.
Last Friday at around 11:30 p.m., Nipawin RCMP received a report of a shooting in the town.
Police allege two men were in a vehicle and one opened fire, injuring the other. His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
The next day RCMP arrested and charged Walker Karle of Nipawin with numerous offences including careless use of a firearm; criminal negligence causing bodily harm; and unauthorized possession of a firearm, prohibited weapon or restricted weapon.
