CJVR’s Cal Gratton crushes SCMA 2022 awards show

Prince Albert and area was very well represented at the 33rd Annual Saskatchewan Country Music Awards Saturday night.

A couple of Dean’s picked up some hardware, with Dean Kushneryk winning Drummer of the Year and Dean Bernier picking up the Fiddle Player of the Year honours.

Mick Gratias was named Bass Player of the Year

P.A.’s Donny Parenteau won the Record Producer of the Year Award, for producing his song “These Days.”

On the radio side, Saskatchewan Country CKBI won the Major Market Radio Station of the Year award.

Over to the North East, FM Country CJVR in Melfort won the Secondary Market Radio Station of the Year Award as well. CJVR’s Cal Gratton swept just about all the individual radio awards as well, winning On-Air Personality of Year, Music Director of the Year, Country Music Person of the Year.
