Event featuring Theo Fleury called The Power of Me Too coming to P.A.
Prince Albert will be welcoming Olympic gold medalist and Stanley Cup champion Theoren Fleury to our community this weekend.
The May 14 event called “The Power of Me Too” will be happening on the north side of the river at the P.A. Wildlife Federation from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The event, put on by the Shell River Recreation Club and sponsored by the Optimist Club of Prince Albert is meant to help build a new outdoor hockey rink. They’re inviting the public and children to come see Fleury and interact through question and answer and a presentation. He will also have an autograph session and there will be a supper.
“Theo Fleury’s message is, especially, for parents and for teenagers, but not only. For parents to be aware that their children can face at any time some negative vices and actions,” said event chair, Victor Corduban in a media release. “For teenagers, whom will be future parents, it is good to know, one small aspect of how and what to avoid in their journey with their future families. All social categories of them should be aware of some threatens that are still influence/affect our/the modern lives.”
