North Stars set for spring camp this weekend
For the first time in three years, the Battlefords North Stars will get the chance to see the next wave of team hopefuls compete at their spring camp taking place this weekend.
From May 27–29 at Saskatoon’s Jemini Arena, 175 players between the U18 and U15 age groups will compete for list positions, main camp invites this fall, and roster spots with the team.
Head coach of the North Stars, Brayden Klimosko said the organization is looking forward to being able to hold their spring camp again for the first time since 2019.
“It’s always really good to see some of our list players obviously, and there’s the bantam draft and midget draft coming up, so it will be a good opportunity to see some of those kids that aren’t drafted or are draft-eligible too,” Klimosko said. “[Head scout] Wylie Riendeau’s done a great job at getting everything organized for the camp, so we’re looking forward to getting back into the rink.”
