Northern Pikes to headline 2022 Chester Fest

The Chester Fest Music Festival is back once again this summer and in a new location.

The annual festival will run July 8–9 at the Exhibition Grounds in Prince Albert, with a big name headlining this year’s lineup.

“We’re happy to announce today the Northern Pikes are going to be headlining,” said production manager, Joel Rohs.

“We’re pretty excited to have them. As well in the lineup, we’ve got a lot of regional and provincial touring acts; Paris Pick, Scenic Route to Alaska, The North Sound, League of Wolves, The Velvet Thread and more.”

Speaking to Lew and Teena on 101.5 Beach Radio, Rohs explained how Chester Fest differs from other music festivals people may have enjoyed in the past.

“We feature 100 vintage and previously loved Chesterfield, couches, armchairs, loveseats. You don’t need to bring a lawn chair, (just) grab a coffee on the couch, you’re good to go.”

Rohs added they’ll be looking for used couches to use for this year’s event. Those interested in donating can reach out to Chester Fest’s Facebook or Instagram pages or email them.

Tickets are available online and you can soon pick them up in town before the big day.

“You can buy day passes, weekend pass, and as well a couple of passes to our after-hours stage each night.” Said Rohs.” You’ll also be able to get physical tickets at the Canadian Tire customer service desk shortly.”
