A man and woman are facing multiple charges, including robbery with a weapon, in connection to an incident south of Prince Albert last Thursday.

In the incident, a man armed with a knife approached two other people, stole some cash and then drove away.

No one was injured and police found the suspect’s vehicle near Red Wing not long afterward and arrested both of the people inside.

Along with the robbery charge, Franklin Mercredi, a 34-yar-old man from Prince Albert is being charged with wearing a disguise with an intent to commit crime, having a weapon contrary to an order, failing to surrender authorization and two counts of not complying with probation orders.

Another Prince Albert resident, April Clarke, who turns 31 tomorrow, is facing one charge of robbery with a weapon.

Both appeared in court today.

Mercredi was remanded into custody until his next appearance tomorrow in Prince Albert Provincial Court.

Clarke was released on bail and has her next court appearance on June 15.
