Meadow Lake’s Coverchuk makes PBR Team Series debut

Cody Coverchuk will compete in Texas as part of the inaugural Professional Bull Riders (PBR) Team Series.
The two-time PBR Canada champion from Meadow Lake signed as a free agent with the Texas Rattlers of Dallas-Fort Worth. This followed the inaugural PBR Team Series draft in Arlington, Texas, back in May.
Coverchuck is just the third multi-time PBR Canada winner in history after winning the 2021 title having to come from behind to outscore top ranked Dakota Buttar. He’s joined by several international riders on the Rattlers, from countries that include Brazil and Australia.
The Canadian champ will also be one of five riders tapped to compete in the inaugural competition against the Carolina Cowboys this weekend in Bismarck, N.D.
