Four days have been set aside in June of next year, to hear the Crown’s evidence in a Prince Albert murder case and determine if there’s enough to proceed to trial.

The preliminary hearing date for Rajdeepsinh Bihola was set on Wednesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court. He’s facing a charge of second-degree murder in the death last May of 31- year-old Allan Andres.

Andres was struck and killed by a vehicle in the Cornerstone Parking lot and passed away in hospital the following week. He leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Andres and his wife managed the Arby’s restaurant in town.

The circumstances of the incident are not immediately clear at this time, but police have previously confirmed some sort of altercation took place between the victim and the accused.

Andres’s wife previously told paNOW she and her husband had prior interactions with Bihola. Bihola was working as a delivery driver and had been at the restaurant on the day of the incident to pick up an order.

Bihola’s lawyer Garth Bendig elected for the case to be eventually tried by judge and jury at Court of Queen’s Bench.

The dates for the preliminary hearing are June 19-22.
