Cocaine, meth and weapons among items seized in recent police investigation

Three men are facing drugs and weapons charges after police found drugs, firearms and cash during an investigation.

Early Friday morning, officers with the Prince Albert Police Crime Reduction Team (CRT), searched a home on 13 Street and 19 Avenue West. Officers found cocaine, methamphetamine, a loaded handgun, ammunition, and more than $6,000 in cash.

Police also found drug packaging materials, including multiple baggies and two functioning digital scales.

The number of drugs seized included nearly 60 grams of cocaine, more than 130 grams of crack cocaine, and just over 70 grams of methamphetamine.

Modi Lako, 28, of Prince Albert; Yasin Ali, 27 of Edmonton; and Shyrell Nyack, 22 have been charged with several offences including possession of the proceeds of crime, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, careless use of a firearm, and possession of a dangerous weapon.
