Prince Albert RCMP has identified a suspect, in connection with a robbery Friday morning at Sturgeon Lake First Nation.

Joshua Naytowhow, 30, is facing several charges including robbery with a firearm, pointing a firearm, and uttering threats.

At around 4:40 a.m., Prince Albert RCMP received a report of a robbery. The investigation found that a man armed with a firearm entered a residence, assaulted an occupant, and then stole a pickup truck.

The occupant reported minor injuries.

A warrant has been issued for Naytowhow’s arrest. RCMP say he is approximately 6’ tall and 150 lbs. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The stolen truck is a red, 2009 Chevrolet Silverado with Saskatchewan license plate 221 MTA. Anyone with information is asked to call Prince Albert RCMP.

Naytowhow is no stranger to police.

On Dec. 14, 2021, police were called to the Sturgeon Lake First Nation for a report of a robbery and after investigating, police found out the man approached a vehicle where he threatened those inside. The occupants fled without injury.

Naytowhow was arrested two weeks later in Prince Albert. The trial was held in June and a stay of proceedings was granted by the Crown.
