Buckland firefighters helped rescue two people and a puppy trapped in a well.
On Friday night around 8:08 p.m., the fire department received a report of someone stuck in a well at Wahpeton Dakota Nation.
When crews arrived, one person was out of the well and one person was on the ladder in the well. Firefighters helped the person on the ladder out of the well but the rescue wasn’t finished.
“There was a puppy in the well that was about 15 to 20 feet deep. We ended up getting the puppy out of the well and everybody was happy,” Buckland Fire Chief Garry Schrader said.
