Raiders look to end losing skid against struggling Oil Kings

Oct 21, 2022 | 12:29 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders are back out west in Alberta this weekend for their first 3-in-3 of the season.

The Green and Gold will kick off the busy slate against the one-win Edmonton Oil Kings at Rogers Place. The Raiders and Oil Kings met earlier this season at the Art Hauser Centre which ended in a 5-1 win for PA back on Oct. 1.

The Raiders have struggled as of late, dropping their last four games, with the most recent being a 6-1 loss to the Calgary Hitmen at home on Oct. 15.

The defending WHL champs are on a four-game losing streak of their own after their unsuccessful US road trip. Edmonton finished the road trip with just one win which was a 3-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs.

After tonight’s contest, the Raiders will go south to Red Deer to take on the Rebels on Saturday night before going further south to Calgary where they’ll face the Hitmen on Sunday afternoon.

Fans can catch all the hockey action with the voice of the Raiders Rob Mahon on 900 CKBI. The pregame starts at 6:30 p.m. with the puck drop at 7 p.m.
