SASKATOON, SK – Well, that’s all for high school football in 2022 in Prince Albert.

Neither Carlton nor St. Mary could pull out wins in their games on Friday night, resulting in both the Crusaders and Marauders football seasons coming to an end.

The Cru fought hard but ultimately came up short in the scoring department.

The Holy Cross Crusaders got the best of the red and gold’s offense, limiting their scoring. But despite the lockdown defense, Carlton’s offense still found holes in the Holy Cross defense to put up points which included an insane Gage Prodaehl catch for a touchdown. Carlton would be beat however, losing 38-23.

St. Mary gave it their all versus the one-seeded St. Joseph Guardians but couldn’t find a way past the defense.

The nationally ranked team showed why they’re one of the best in country, preventing any sort of scoring from the Marauders while also tearing it up on the offensive end by hanging over 50 points on the blue and silver. The game ended with a 52-0 win for the Guardians.
