HALLOWEEN WEATHER

Some wickedly good weather for Halloween in P.A.

Oct 31, 2022 | 11:00 AM

Mother Nature will be on your side as you get ready to go trick-or-treating this Halloween.

According to Meteorologist Jessie Wagar with Environment Canada, the forecast is looking good.

“We’re expecting a beautiful day out there today, highs around the 8 Celsius mark,” she said. “Temperatures will start to cool off right around that trick-or-treat time but only just below 0 C and light winds. We’re looking at mostly clear skies too so perfect for watching for anything spooky that might be flying across the moon tonight.”

Wagar added you should enjoy the decent Halloween night as the rest of the week will bring some chiller temperatures and precipitation.

“We are expecting rain and snow to start tomorrow,” she said. “So, a messy couple of days following Halloween night, unfortunately.”

Aside from the rain and snow, temperatures will drop quite a bit in the coming days, with daily highs below freezing by the middle of the week.

Meanwhile, Prince Albert Police have offered several tips to safely enjoy Halloween night. They include wearing light-coloured costumes, reflective tape or lights and carrying a flashlight.

It’s also recommended you use face paint instead of a mask that can obstruct vision, examine all treats before they’re eaten, and cross only at intersections or corners.
