Three in running for Carrot River council seat

Three names are in contention for an open spot on the Town of Carrot River council.

Kendall Friske, a scaler at Edgewood Forest Products, school principal Candace Panchyshyn-Beriguette and farmer Evan Wolowksi have all submitted nomination papers.

Advance voting is on November 29 in the council chambers at Town Hall between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm and election day is December 14, with polls open between 9:00 am and 8:00 pm, also at town hall.

The by-election is being held following the resignation of Chad Trombley, effective November 1.

Trombley sat on council for 10 years and was one of the founding members of Carrot River Economic Development.
