RCMP investigating two serious incidents in Meadow Lake

RCMP are searching for answers after two serious incidents happened in the city of Meadow Lake.

On Thursday morning, around 1:10, RCMP received a report of a shooting on 3^rd Street in the city.

Officers determined a man was walking on the street when a black car pulled up to him. Someone inside the car fired a gun and then the car drove away.

The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Roughly two hours later, RCMP were called to another incident, this time at a business in the city.

Officers immediately responded to reports of an altercation at the business and found an injured man. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

One woman was arrested at the scene and the investigation continues.

Investigators do not believe these incidents are connected, nor do they believe they are random in nature.
