Sask. Baseball HOF to spread holiday cheer with open house

The Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will be holding their annual Open House Wednesday afternoon from 2-4 p.m., in celebration of the holiday season.

A staple of the winter months over the last decade, president and CEO Jane Shury said the annual open house is an invitation to all to come by and see what the Hall of Fame and Museum is all about and enjoy some snacks and conversation.

“We have this open house every year at this time of year and we invite everyone to come and take a look around,” Shury said. “If they have questions, want to see something, and then partake in some Christmas cheer they are certainly welcome to sit and visit. We want people to know they are always welcome at the Saskatchewan Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.”

That connection with the community is something Shury said is integral to their very foundation.

“A lot of people may not be interested in baseball, they may not be interested in Museums, but this is a great chance to come and see what we have in terms of our history not just in the Battlefords, but the whole of the province and also to connect and spread some of that Christmas cheer,” she said.

There will be snacks and beverages set out to enjoy, with tables and chairs out for visitors as well.
