Prince Albert bowling team strikes gold at provincial tournament

Prince Albert bowlers once again proved they can roll with anyone in the province.

The local mixed team, whose members range in age from 14 to 18, finished first at the five pin tournament, hosted by Minto Bowl on Sunday. Also there were teams representing Regina, Saskatoon and the province’s East, West and North.

The Prince Albert team was made up Bella Mulhall, Jaxson Robertson, Brooke Anderson, Charlie Spitzack and Taryn Dumont. After five games, their overall total score was 4,855.

Finishing second, was the team from Regina with a score of 4,429, followed by Saskatoon with 4,403.

Amongst the team members, Robertson had the highest single game score with a 266, followed by Dumont with a 239.

Robertson also had the highest single game score amongst all the mixed division bowlers.

In addition to the six teams competing in the mixed division, there were six men’s teams. The Prince Albert men’s team, which was comprised of a lot of new bowlers, held their own, and while they did not finish in the top three, did not land in the gutter either.

Amongst the team, Terrance had the highest single game score with a 260. The highest game score amongst the men’s bowlers went to Regina’s Garrett Christensen with a 310.
