Accused in Alex Whitehead homicide given bail
The man accused of killing Alex Whitehead on New Year’s Day of 2022 was given bail today in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
Richard Budd started the day in custody but had his lawyer change his case from the Court of King’s Bench back to Provincial Court and agreed to release conditions. He is to be let out of jail today.
The bail agreement between the Crown Prosecutor’s office and Budd’s lawyer includes a list of about 20 names that Budd is to have no association with, along with a requirement to report to probation officers, which he has done in the past in either Creighton or Prince Albert.
Budd will next appear in Provincial Court on January 26.
