Stars point streak ends at league-record 36 straight, with loss in Estevan
After four straight months of undefeated play in regulation time, the Battlefords North Stars saw their SJHL-record 36-game point streak come to an end, Saturday night in Estevan.
The North Stars fell 5-0 to the Estevan Bruins in the final stop of their three games in three nights road swing, still taking four of a possible six points on the trip.
A 1-0 game at the end of the first on Gabriel Filion’s sixth of the season, the Bruins would add four unanswered in the third period, including three in two minutes on their way to the 5-0 final.
Keagon Little led the way offensively with a pair of goals, while Jackson Millar stopped 30/30 for his first shutout of the season, and Kade Runke and Evan Forrest also scored for the home team.
