La Ronge woman wanted in P.A. arrested in Saskatoon

Jan 23, 2023 | 11:37 AM

A 39-year-old La Ronge woman who was wanted by Prince Albert Police since last year has been arrested by Saskatoon Police.

Kira Fuss was nabbed by police near Highway 11 and Wanuskewin Road on Jan. 19.

Saskatoon police officers were patrolling the area of 22nd Street West and Avenue H North and tried to stop a vehicle that was idling in a nearby parking lot.

When emergency lights were activated, the suspect vehicle rammed the police vehicle and then drove away at high speeds.

Police stopped the pursuit for public safety reasons but found the vehicle a short while later in the ditch near the Wanuskewin intersection.

It was empty but the suspect was found hiding nearby after officers followed her footprints in the snow.

Fuss is charged with dangerous driving, driving while being pursued by police and two counts of assaulting an officer.

In June of 2022, Prince Albert Police issued a wanted bulletin for Fuss on similar charges of failing to stop, dangerous driving and assaulting a police officer.
