NAR strikes four-year deal to deliver animal services in La Ronge
Northern Animal Rescue (NAR) and the Town of La Ronge have entered into a four-year animal control services agreement for $155,000.
A motion was passed at a regular council meeting on Tuesday to approve the deal, which retroactively takes effect on Jan. 1 and will continue until the end of 2026.
The municipality first began contracting NAR in 2018 and the deal was maintained on a yearly basis up until now.
“I love seeing multi-year contracts of things that offer stability to administration and residents coming to council like this that seem to be well thought out, progressing the relationship and mutually benefitting both parties,” Coun. Abby Besharah said.
