Accused in Black Lake homicide case re-arrested on gun charges

A man awaiting trial for manslaughter is facing a list of new gun-related charges.

Jerrick Stalthanee was scheduled to appear in court Thursday at Prince Albert Provincial Court.

According to court records, he’s facing four counts of carrying or possessing a weapon, for a purpose dangerous to the public peace or for the purpose of committing an offence.

Prior to his arrest this week, Stalthanee had been out on bail since last December, which was around the same time the manslaughter charge was committed for trial at Court of King’s Bench.

In Dec., 2021, he was initially charged with second-degree murder in the death of Arley Cook at Black Lake.
