All-Star recognition for PA River Riders football players

Three members of the Prince Albert River Riders team from last season have been named the best in their league.

The Kinsmen Football League’s Huskies and Hilltops Division All-Stars were announced earlier this week as coaches from across the league voted for the best players in each position.

Two players from the undefeated KFL champion Bantam River Riders were voted to the All-Star Team: running back Rylan Morrison, and linebacker Tucker Prodaehl.

“It was awesome. They’ve had a great season, definitely well deserved. To be honest, I thought we could have had more,” said Bantam Head Coach Joey Hemsworth.

They weren’t the only stars to be named to the division teams as Brandon Arabaejo was named top linebacker for the Hilltops Pee Wee Division.

Last season, Arabejo had two blocked punts, one that he recovered and ran back for a touchdown along with 17 sacks and five fumble recoveries.

His defensive coach Travis Stokalko said he’s a force to be reckoned with.

“That kid has so much potential and he has a football brain that I haven’t seen in a lot of years since I played. I am very impressed with him.”

Stokalko went on to say he believes Arabejo will go very far in his football career.
