Feb 1, 2023 | 2:30 PM

The Prince Albert Raiders (18-25-3-0) look to continue their upward trend tonight when they face the Vancouver Giants (18-21-4-2) in game three of their BC road trip at the Langley Events Centre.

The Raiders enter the game coming in hot, donning a three-game win streak and a flawless 2-0 record on the B.C. road trip so far. P.A. got the trip started on Saturday when they downed the Cougars 4-1 and then chalked up another one in the win column last night with a commanding 6-3 victory over the Royals. The win streak stems back to Jan. 21 when the Raiders toppled the Blades 3-1 on home ice. P.A. has also won six of their last 10 games entering tonight.

The Giants on the other were on the losing end of their last contest when they fell 5-1 to the Rockets in game two of a home-and-home. Prior to the loss Vancouver wasn’t doing too shabby, winning back-to-back games which were also against Kelowna. The Giants currently sit in seventh place in the Western Conference and have won five of their last 10 games.

This is the first meeting between these teams since October 8, 2019, when the Raiders came away victorious with a 4-2 win. The game is also a rematch of the 2019 WHL Finals where P.A. won 3-2 in game seven overtime to claim the Ed Chynoweth Cup for the second time in franchise history.

The Raiders’ next stop in BC is Kelowna for a date with the Rockets on Friday night.

With a Raiders win and a Regina OT loss last night, PA now sits eight points back of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Who to Watch
