A man and a woman are facing charges following a drug bust Friday in Prince Albert’s midtown neighbourhood.

Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of sixth St. E.

During the investigation, police located a sawed-off .22 rifle, ammunition, 831 grams of cocaine, just over $8,500 in cash and further evidence of drug trafficking. The estimated street value of the cocaine seized is approximately $66,000.

Eric Sanche, 21, and Erica Morin, 40, have each been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, as well as several firearms offences.

Both appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday, and were remanded to Monday.

Members of the Prince Albert Crime Reduction Team (CRT), Saskatchewan Trafficking Response Team (STRT), and Patrol were involved in the investigation.
