Prince Albert child porn case committed for trial

A man accused of possessing and making child pornography will be tried by judge alone at Prince Albert Court of King’s Bench.

Troy Lester’s attendance was waived when the case was spoken to Wednesday afternoon at provincial court.

A preliminary inquiry hearing had originally been scheduled to take place, but defence agreed to commit the case to trial.

No dates have been set at this stage.

On June 30, 2022, investigators with the Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit, executed a search warrant on a house in Prince Albert.
