A judge issued a warrant for Angela Ahenakew Thursday afternoon after waiting for over 30 minutes for her to show up for her provincial court appearance.

Ahenakew was scheduled to make her fourth appearance on multiple charges that arose from an incident on 18th Street West on January 2.

Prince Albert Police were told of a stolen vehicle that had a gun and ammunition inside along with some other personal effects.

Investigation led officers to a home in the 400 Block of 18th Street West where they found 11 people have left the residence and a woman was inside with a gun.

After several hours of unsuccessful negotiation, police used ‘multiple tactical strategies’ that ended with the woman surrendering and the recovery of the gun and ammunition.

On Jan. 10, paNOW reported that her bail had been revoked after she breached her release conditions by being in a place that serves alcohol.
