Feb 17, 2023 | 2:01 PM

Nipawin RCMP are looking for two wanted men, while having already arrested and charged three others following a kidnapping and break-and-enter in Nipawin on Valentine’s Day.

RCMP said that late on Tuesday, they were told of a break-and-enter at a home in the community and that someone might have been taken against their will.

While investigators did not immediately confirm if there was indeed a kidnapping, five men are facing related charges after an “extensive investigation,” RCMP said in a release Friday.

Two Cumberland House men, William Chaboyer, 27, and Thorne McKay, 22, are both being pursued by police following the incident.

Chaboyer will face two kidnapping and two break-and-enter charges, while McKay is wanted for one break-and-enter count.

Chaboyer is five feet eight inches tall, and 175 pounds, with black hair on brown eyes. McKay is five feet 10 inches tall, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The public is asked to call police immediately if they see either William Chaboyer or McKay and should not approach either of them.

Nipawin RCMP can be contacted at 306-862-6270 or call 911 in an emergency.

Three arrests

Police have already made three arrests in the case, having apprehended three Nipawin men.

Kurt Bloomfield, 29, and Solomon Settee, 36, have identical charges of one count of kidnapping and two counts of break and enter. Clement Chaboyer, 25, has two kidnapping charges and two break-and-enter charges.

Bloomfield and Settee have been remanded to appear in Nipawin Provincial Court on the morning of February 21, 2023. Clement will appear in Melfort Provincial Court via video on February 21, 2023.

Police also seized two guns as part of the investigation.
