Man facing several charges after reportedly breaking into a P.A. home and assaulting a woman

Prince Albert Police arrested a 30-year-old man after he allegedly broke into a home, committed robbery, and assaulted a woman inside.

Matthew Misponas of Île-à-la-Crosse is facing several charges, including robbery, break and enter, assault, and failure to comply with a court order.

Police said they received a report of break-and-enter at a residence in the 500 Block of Fifth Street East, at 10:20 a.m. on Tuesday. Police heard reports that a man entered the home and assaulted a woman in the residence. The woman was able to leave the home and call police.

The man left the home on foot and was arrested by police nearby.
