Travel is returning in the Northeast

International travel is making a comeback in the Northeast.

On March 10, 750 Beach Radio and 105 CJVR held the Great Escape Party which featured a $3,000 travel voucher as a grand prize.

Not only did Travel Agent Lisa Merriman with Travel 4-U offer up the main draw, but she is also reminding people that travel is back in session.

“I think this is an exciting kickoff to the return of travel after COVID and people want to travel, they’re excited to travel,” she said.

After the past few years littered with uncertainty surrounding travel and restrictions, Merriman explained that international travel is back to pre-pandemic times.

“They can feel very confident about travelling. It’s very safe, things are back to normal, but I would suggest using your local travel agent.”

Although Merriman is excited that travel is back she said the truly rewarding part of her career is sending people off on their dream vacations.

“It excites me to send people away and to bring them back and watch the smiles when they make memories,” Merriman continued. “You just get to spend time together as a family and it makes my heart beat because it is wonderful to hear their stories.”

As for the winner of the Great Escape, George Wolfe from Porcupine Plain said he is looking forward to a trip to Mexico with his wife.

“This is our honeymoon, 39 years later on,” he said.
