Two arrests, 28 charges laid after ‘serious assault and robbery’ in Stanley Mission

La Ronge RCMP have arrested two people and levied a total of 28 charges in what they describe as a “serious assault and robbery” in June 2022.

RCMP did not receive a report of the incident until March 9, roughly nine months after it took place.

After an investigation, they searched a home in Stanley Mission and arrested Jonas Hardlotte, 36, and Roseanne Halkett, 33.

During the search, officers confiscated a number of weapons; 15 long-barrelled firearms, two handguns (one of which was loaded), ammunition, prohibited magazines, 10 knives and two cans of bear spray.

They also seized 31 grams of methamphetamine, 85 grams of cocaine, 672 grams of cannabis, as well as cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Hardlotte and Halkett both face the same list of 14 charges.

— possession of a prohibited weapon

— possession of a loaded prohibited firearm

— possession of a prohibited device

Hardlotte and Halkett are scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on Thursday.
