North Stars Southgate named finalist for RBC Community Ambassador

Battlefords North Stars captain Jake Southgate has been named a finalist for this year’s RBC Community Ambassador.

As previously announced here, Southgate was already named the North Stars’ SJHL Community Ambassador back in early January, as each team’s elected player was celebrated at a special ‘RBC Game Night’ and honoured with a donation from RBC to a school in their local community.

Voting is now underway for fans to determine the recipient of the RBC Community Award. This distinction comes with a further donation from RBC in the player’s name to a school in their community.

Southgate is one of the five nominees for the RBC Community Ambassador, along with Tylin Hilbig of the Kindersley Klippers, Ethan Zielkie of the Humboldt Broncos, Clay Sleeva of the Yorkton Terriers, and Jaryd Sych of the Notre Dame Hounds.
