Heavy melting hitting the northeast
The Easter bunny wasn’t the only thing brought to the northeast, courtesy of the holiday weekend, as warmer temperatures and melting snow decided to join in on the party.
The temperatures have now gone above zero, which has caused a steady flow of water down city streets.
According to the City of Humboldt, they have planned for such an occasion.
“We do have quite a bit of snow still sitting around, and now with the warmer weather, we are looking to make sure that we have all of our catch basins and storm mains thawed,” said Public Works Director, Peter Bergquist.
