A new trial date will need to be set for three people accused of possessing cocaine, crack and methamphetamine, along with weapons, after an arrest warrant was issued for one suspect.

A Provincial Court judge issued a bench warrant yesterday for Shyrell Nyack, 22, and also opted to delay a planned trial that was supposed to happen on May 19.

Nyack is co-accused with an Edmonton man, Yasin Ali, 27, and Modi Lako, 28 of Prince Albert.

Prince Albert Police arrested all three in early morning of September 20, 2022 at a home on 13th Street West.

There officers say they found the drugs along with a loaded handgun, ammunition and over $6,000 in cash.

They also found packaging materials, baggies and two working scales.

Over 130 grams of crack cocaine were seized along with 60 grams of cocaine and 70 grams of methamphetamine.

The matter will be on court on May 10 in order to set a new trial date.
