La Ronge RCMP charge three with trafficking cocaine, firearms offenses

La Ronge RCMP and the RCMP Emergency Response Team searched a property on Mirasty Crescent last week in an ongoing drug trafficking and firearms investigation.

According to police, a search of the property resulted in officers locating a rifle, approximately one ounce of cocaine, ammunition, digital scales, baggies, cellphones and other miscellaneous items consistent with drug-trafficking activity.

Police arrested eight people at the scene and five have since been released without charges.

As a result of this investigation, Awab El-Sandali, 21, from Toronto, has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and several firearms offences. El-Sandali is scheduled to make his next court appearance in La Ronge on June 1.

Bradley Ratt, 32, from La Ronge is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, breaching a release order, and several firearms offences. Ratt is scheduled to make his next court appearance in La Ronge on June 1.

Patricia Charles, 43, from La Ronge, was arrested and released with a court date scheduled to take place on June 26 in La Ronge. She has been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, breaching a probation order and several firearms offences.

In addition, La Ronge RCMP is still asking the public to report sightings of the whereabouts of 29-year-old Dency Herman. Herman was allegedly involved in the discharge of a firearm into a residence during the early morning of May 22. He faces four counts of attempted murder.
