Woman weeps as she is sentenced for manslaughter in South Hill mall homicide
A 45-year-old mother of three wept throughout her sentencing for manslaughter in Court of King’s Bench today and apologized for her actions.
Clarissa Campbell said she would take back her actions if she could.
“If I could take back that night, I would,” she told Madame Justice Crooks. “I would never wish for that to happen to anyone, or for a mother to lose her child.”
Crooks accepted the joint sentencing submission of the Crown and defence lawyers of a four-year sentence, with 521 days remaining following remand credit.
