Garry Childerhose joins Village Sports/Global Sport Academy as the North Battleford Coach
Garry Childerhose, local hockey expert and current Associate Head Coach with the SJHL’s Battlefords North Stars, brings a wealth of experience in coaching and management to his new role of Global Sport Academy Coach, North Battleford.
Village Sports and Global Sport Academy proudly announces the appointment of Garry Childerhose as the North Battleford Coach. His passion for hockey and proven track record make him an invaluable addition to the Global Sport Academy program in North Battleford.
Garry’s journey in the hockey world began as a player, where he spent three years showcasing his skills with the Melfort Mustangs. His consistent outstanding performances on the ice earned him a reputation as a talented and dedicated player. Building on his success, Garry continued his hockey journey by joining SUNY-Geneseo of the NCAA, further refining his skills and knowledge of the game.
In 2014, Garry’s coaching career took off when he joined the Flin Flon Bombers as an Assistant Coach. Garry’s coaching prowess extended beyond his role as an assistant coach, as he also served as the team’s assistant General Manager for two seasons. Under his guidance, the team reached the Canalta Cup finals in both the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons, demonstrating his exceptional leadership skills and ability to motivate players to excel in high-pressure situations.
