Two facing attempted murder and other charges after incident in Hall Lake

On June 14 at approximately 6:30 a.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of an assault at a residence in Hall Lake.

According to a media release, an investigation determined an adult man was confined and seriously assaulted in the residence. He was taken to hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.

As a result of investigation, a man and woman were arrested shortly after at a nearby residence. Quintin Ross, 22, from the La Ronge District and 21-year-old Sunset Henderson from Montreal Lake are each charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, forcible confinement, unlawfully cause bodily harm, robbery, uttering threats and several firearms offenses.

Ross and Henderson are scheduled to appear in La Ronge Provincial Court on June 26.

La Ronge RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of the La Ronge RCMP General Investigation Section and Saskatchewan RCMP’s Prince Albert Forensic Identification Section.
