Nipawin man wins big with lottery ticket
A man in Nipawin became $100,000 richer.
Robert Steptoe was the lucky winner after checking his Western Max ticket on the May 12 EXTRA draw. According to Steptoe, he had to use his tiptoes to see the screen confirming his winnings.
“The screen was so high up, I had to stand on my tippy toes to count the zeroes,” he laughed. “I didn’t know if I was seeing straight, so I asked the cashier to check it for me.”
Steptoe purchased his winning ticket from Lake Country Co-Op Nipawin Home Centre in Nipawin by matching the last six digits of the EXTRA number. Even though the screen read $100,000, he said that he was still waiting for the win to hit him.
