Numerous northeast high school students receive trades scholarships
A total of 100 scholarships were recently dolled out to graduating high school students from 70 communities across the province.
Courtesy of the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission (SATCC), these Saskatchewan Youth Apprenticeship (SYA) Industry Scholarships were handed out to numerous northeastern students.
This includes:
- Nolan Horn from Bjorkdale School (Industrial Mechanic, Millwright/Carpenter)
- Rheis Sprackman from Hudson Bay Community School (Industrial Mechanic, Millwright/Construction Electrician)
- Dylan Yaworski (Industrial Mechanic, Millwright), and Matthew Solar (Carpenter) from Humboldt Collegiate Institute
- Darci Hydamaka from Kelvington High School (Agricultural Equipment Technician)
- Cohen Morin from L.P. Miller Comprehensive School in Nipawin (Industrial Mechanic, Millwright
- Ty Burghardt from Porcupine Plain Comprehensive School (Heavy Duty Equipment Technician)
- Levi Halvorson from Rose Valley School (Agricultural Equipment Technician)
- David Babb from St. Brieux School (Heavy Duty Equipment Technician/Welder)
