George Home Hardware reports alleged theft

Sep 16, 2023 | 1:04 PM

Geroge Home Hardware in Melfort is asking for the public’s help to identify two people they’ve “never seen before”.

The store reports that back on Thursday, Sept. 7, shortly before 4 p.m. they had two unfamiliar men within their store.

According to Home Hardware, the African-American man (in the back of the photo) kept employees distracted at the front cash registers, while the Caucasian man (in the front of the photo) ran out with two Yeti backpack coolers.

The local business says they believe the alleged thieves are in the Watson area currently and are in a four-door white vehicle with BC plates.

NortheastNOW reached out to the Melfort RCMP for confirmation/comment, but they said they had not received such a report.

According to police, “not all crimes are reported to them and some people like to go about it in their own way.”
