RCMP investigating suspicious death in Poundmaker Cree Nation

A 31-year-old man has died and RCMP are now treating the death as suspicious.

On Monday around 4 p.m., Cut Knife RCMP received reports of a deceased man in a rural area of Poundmaker Cree Nation.

He has since been identified as Lee Bearsears, 31, of Little Pine First Nation.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is still investigating the circumstances surrounding his death.
