RCMP have since confirmed that officers were called to a residence in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

La Ronge RCMP are investigating a homicide in the community.
That’s according to a media release issued Wednesday, which stated on Nov. 8 at approximately 8:20 a.m., police received a report of an injured person at a residence in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.
Officers immediately responded and located an adult male, who was transported to hospital. He was later declared deceased.
RCMP are not releasing the deceased male’s name, age or home community at this time. Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is now investigating the male’s death as a homicide.
There will be an increased police presence in La Ronge during this investigation. If the investigation determines there is an imminent risk to public safety, the public will be notified.
The RCMP will provide further updates when possible.
