RCMP have arrested a third individual wanted in relation to a homicide that occurred in the Lac La Ronge Indian Band last week.

John McDonnell, who was wanted by police for the last several days, was arrested Tuesday in La Ronge and will appear in court on Nov. 16.

Previously arrested were Garrett McDonnell, 24, and Jared Gale, 28. All of the men are from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band and are charged with manslaughter in relation to the homicide of 42-year-old Randy Halkett, also of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

On Nov. 8 at approximately 8:20 a.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of an injured person at a band residence and, upon arrival, found Halkett who was transported to hospital where he was declared deceased.
