Nov 20, 2023 | 5:39 PM

RCMP have laid a dozen charges following a theft in Nipawin this month involving a boat and trailer.

The incident happened on Nov. 5.

Both items were taken from a residence on First St. W. and witnesses provided police a description of the truck that took the boat.

Patrols were then conducted and the truck and boat were located at a residence on Tamarac Street.

A firearm was located in the vehicle along with a number of other items, some of which has been confirmed to have been reported as stolen in the Nipawin area in previous weeks.

Horace Kitchener, 21, of Pakwaw Lake, and Rudy Goulet, 35, face a number of charges related to guns and stolen property including theft over $5,000.

RCMP confirmed their investigation is ongoing, and have advised that as items seized during this investigation are processed, victims who have reported stolen items will be contacted if their property is located.
