Two teenagers shot in Pelican Narrows

Update: A 23-year-old man has been arrested as a result of a continued investigation by RCMP.

Coltin Ballantyne from Pelican Narrows has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, discharge of a firearm with intent, and more.

He is scheduled to appear in Pelican Narrows court on Dec. 18, while the woman previously taken into custody has been released and not charged.

RCMP are investigating a shooting in Pelican Narrows.

Police responded to the incident Thursday morning and found two injured teenagers, a boy and a girl.

Both were taken to the hospital with the boy suffering from serious injuries and the girl having non-life-threatening ones.

RCMP has arrested an adult woman, however, no charges have been laid at this time.

Further updates will be provided when they become available, and if the investigation determines an imminent risk to public safety, the community will be notified.

Saskatchewan RCMP’s General Investigation Section and Forensic Identification Services are also helping with the continuing investigation.
