The prosecutor overseeing a Prince Albert drug bust case, says the amount of fentanyl seized was to the best of his knowledge the most ever in the city and he hopes it’s not a trend that continues.

Brent Slobodian was commenting on Wednesday’s sentencing hearing at provincial court for Darryl Edward Mans Lakner .

Guilty pleas were entered for a variety of offences including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime, and a couple of gun-related charges.

Lakner was arrested last September in Prince Albert and had been riding his bicycle on the 2800 block of 6 Ave. E.
