A series of break-ins has RCMP in Wadena asking for your help.

Nine break-ins were reported in Wadena and surrounding communities between Dec. 15 and 28, 2023.

On Dec. 15, suspects broke into a funeral home and stole a small amount of change and audio equipment.

That same day, the curling rink was victimized, some cash was stolen, and several gift cards were stolen from the food bank.

RCMP were called about two more break-ins on Dec. 18. A business in Wadena and the senior centre in Foam Lake were broken into, though no items were reported stolen.

On Dec. 20, an unknown amount of liquor was stolen from the curling rink in Quill Lake.

Meanwhile, a home in the Rural Municipality (RM) of Foam Lake was broken into on Dec. 27.

The next day, a side-by-side and ice fishing equipment was stolen during a break-in at a home on the north shore of Fishing Lake.

A second home on the north shore was broken into on Dec. 28, and the keys for a quad and two vehicles were stolen.

Wadena RCMP and the Saskatchewan RCMP Forensic Identification Services continue to investigate and believe the incidents are related.

The public is being reminded to make sure all doors, windows, and outbuildings are locked.
