Accused shoplifter attempts to flee P.A. store with over $2,500 worth of goods
A man who allegedly tried to flee a Prince Albert store with over $2,500 worth of stolen goods, is now sitting in jail.
In relation to last Friday’s incident, 31-year-old Terry Randy Bird was charged with theft under $5,000 and resisting arrest.
The alleged theft occurred in the 800 block of 15th St. E. Police were advised a suspect left the business with a grocery cart full of stolen items. The suspect was able to evade the store’s security but was soon located by police officers.
When approached by the officers, the suspect discarded the stolen property and attempted to flee on foot. He was however caught and taken into custody.
